A quick plug for a big, new announcement from buySAFE that enables third parties to leverage buySAFE trust signals at no cost…
Today, buySAFE made an exciting announcement – we’ve launched the buySAFE Developers’ Network (http://developer.buysafe.com).
The buySAFE Developer's Network is a program that allows developers to access buySAFE's API (Application Programming Interface) to seamlessly integrate buySAFE trust signaling into retail websites, marketplaces, and third-party shopping applications. By creating the buySAFE Developers' Network and opening our API, we are now able to signal trust to consumers earlier in their buying cycle, thus allowing them to make more informed buying decisions.
Online shopping applications like comparison shopping engines, browser plug-ins, and desktop widgets can benefit by utilizing the buySAFE API. In a search example, results from buySAFE Merchants will be identified by a small buySAFE logo, which signals to the shopper that the merchant is trustworthy and reliable, thus increasing the likelihood that they will make a purchase.
Developers can gain access to the buySAFE API by registering for free membership on the buySAFE Developers’ Network site, or by sending an e-mail request to developer@buysafe.com.
